Private Land Services

A unique, "one-stop shop" for gaining comprehensive knowledge about the ecology of your property.

When you look at the plants, critters, and natural features of your property, are you filled with curiosity and questions? Are you concerned about invasive species or other threats? Would you like to learn how to best help nature with your choices and actions? Let Courtney Kerns assist you with all of this! She will put her decades of learning and experience to work for you.

Courtney has always enjoyed being a person people turn to when they have a question about nature. She will greatly enjoy visiting YOUR piece of northern Minnesota and enthusiastically communicating about its value and what makes it special. You will receive top-to-bottom information, from what species of mosses and lichens are on the ground to the Neotropical migrant songbirds singing from your treetops....species that you may never have noticed or quite been able to identify.  Edible plants and fungi? Recommendations for native and beneficial plants to add for birds and pollinators? Check! We'll talk about those too. Courtney will tell you which invasive species you have (if any), and which may pose a real threat. Finally, there are always simple actions you can take to make any property more resilient and healthy! You will gain knowledge and new resources too.

Whether you have a yard you love or hundreds of acres to treasure, there's a KernsEco package for you.
